Cleaning instructions
Our bracelets are made of durable materials, but due to regular use and environmental influences, they may need to be cleaned from time to time. To ensure that your bracelet retains its original beauty and quality for a long time, please follow the cleaning instructions below.
Cleaning a sailing bracelet
If you would like to preserve the beauty of your sailboat bracelet and wear it for a long time, avoid the following:
- Avoid direct contact of the bracelet with chemicals, strong chemicals can corrode or dull the surface of the ropes,
- Do not leave it in the hot sun for a long time, the sun's rays will damage the rope material, and strong, prolonged heat can damage the strength of the magnets,
- Do not use the bracelet next to a watch, the metal frame and metal strap of the watch can rub the rope and scratch the steel parts of the bracelets,
Cleaning steps:
1. Take the bracelet off your hand,
2. Place the bracelet under lukewarm running tap water and soak the rope material,
3. Pour a little hand soap onto the wet bracelet,
4. Scrub well with soapy water (do not use a toothbrush or sponge),
5. Rinse the soap off the bracelet with plenty of water,
6. Squeeze out the water with a soft dry towel and wipe dry,
7. Let it dry a bit, never use a hair dryer because it can burn the rope!
8. Optional, when you are not using the bracelet, store it in its gift box to protect it from dust and other dirt,
Important
- Do not put the bracelet in the washing machine or dryer.
- Do not use strong detergents,
- Do not dry with a hair dryer as it may burn the rope.
Cleaning a mineral bead bracelet
Your mineral bead bracelet is not just a piece of jewelry, but a piece made of natural materials that requires care from time to time. Here are some simple yet effective ways to clean it:
1. Gentle physical cleaning
- Wipe with a soft cloth: Use a microfiber cloth or a soft cotton cloth to remove dust and dirt.
- Rinse with lukewarm water: If necessary, gently wipe the beads with a soft cloth dipped in lukewarm water. Do not use harsh chemicals as some minerals may be sensitive.
2. Deeper cleaning (if heavily soiled)
- Mild soapy water: Mix a drop of natural, chemical-free soap into lukewarm water, then gently wipe the beads with a soft cloth.
- Quick rinse: Do not soak for long periods of time, as some minerals (such as more porous ones like lapis lazuli or malachite) cannot handle too much water.
- Dry thoroughly: Soak up moisture with a clean cloth and wipe dry before use.
3. Storing the bracelet
When you're not wearing your bracelet, it's important to store it properly to maintain its beauty and condition in the long term:
- Store it in its own box: This way you can avoid scratches and dirt.
- Use a microfiber bag: This will protect it from dust and external influences while preserving the shine of the bracelet.
- Do not leave in humid places: Bathrooms or other humid environments can damage the rubber fiber and minerals.
- Do not keep it with other jewelry: Harder minerals can damage softer beads or the rubber cord of the bracelet.
4. What should you not do?
🚫 Do not use chemical cleaners or alcohol-containing substances!
🚫 Do not soak in water for a long time, especially if it contains porous minerals.
🚫 Do not expose to strong sunlight as some stones may fade.
🚫 Do not store it wet or damp, as the rubber thread or stone surface may be damaged over time.
Regular cleaning and care can preserve the beauty of your bracelet for a long time!
